Analysis of an Advertisement on Tsunamis and 9/11 Essay
Think to yourself, what would happen to you when the planet is gone? And when thinking about it, think about your family. Our planet is a vital living organism, and each individual needs to take into consideration that everything we do, doesnââ¬â¢t matter if you didnââ¬â¢t commit the deed, everything effects our planet and you. This print advertisement by World Wildlife Fund uses a dramatic comparison between the incident pertaining 9/11 and the years of death caused by tsunamis, both being insinuated to be caused by people. The advertisement is used to demonstrate the effects that are brought upon the earth through the actions of each individuals, which in the end results in their own tragedy. Throughout the advertisement many viewers canâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Furthermore, this imagery creates a dark and foreboding mood, as the viewers are forced to ponder the potentially fatal consequences that might arise, in the sense of death occurring. In the end, the mood that u nderlies this advertisement is definitely achieved by the atmosphere and the different elements, as those things combined create a very dark feeling, and the sense that something bad is going to happen. Alongside, this advertisement containing a decidedly descriptive visual perspective, through the quotation and the written text ââ¬Å"THE TSUNAMI KILLED 100 TIMES MORE PEOPLE THAN 9/11. The planet is brutally powerful. Respect it. Preserve itâ⬠the viewers are able to analyze what the intended message the advertisers are trying to place within their heads, all in all; the purpose of this advertisement, which can all be said through the sense of implying how powerful our planet is, and if we donââ¬â¢t behave in a particular way it will lead to the death of us, just as how over 300000 individuals have died from tsunamis incidents.
